My Itinerary for Three Amazing Days in Paris

Day One

Evening

Upon arrival in Paris, head straight to Miznon Canal for dinner to kick off your Parisian adventure with a taste of Israeli street food in a chic setting. While there are multiple Miznon locations in Paris, this was the closest to our Airbnb. We loved their in-pita sandwiches, and while we didn't try them, their roasted cauliflower and lamb kebab come highly recommended!

Drinks on Canal St Martin

After dinner, stroll along Canal St Martin and grab a drink at one of the many hip bars along the canal. This area comes alive at night with locals and tourists mingling under the fairy lights. A cool, breezy evening here is the ideal way to soak in the romantic vibe of Paris.

Day Two

Morning

Bike Ride Along the Seine

Start your day with a scenic bike ride along the Seine River towards the Eiffel Tower. This early morning ride gives you a glimpse of Paris waking up, with fewer crowds and a fresh perspective on the city's iconic landmarks. Bikes can be rented on the streets all over the city with one of the various bike rental apps.

Pastries at La Patisserie Cyril Lignac

En route to the Eiffel Tower, stop at La Patisserie Cyril Lignac to pick up some exquisite pastries. A croissant or a pain au chocolat from here is the perfect fuel for your morning exploration!

Palace of Versaille

Wrap up your morning by taking the train to the Palace of Versailles. The grandeur of this historic Palace and its magnificent gardens are not to be missed. Remember to book your entry tickets in advance (no tickets were available for in-person purchase on the day we went), and even with booking ahead, expect long queues to enter the Palace. It took us about 30 minutes to get through security.

Afternoon

Lunch on Rue Cler

Explore the charming street of Rue Cler in the 7th arrondissement for lunch. This market street is bustling with vendors selling everything from fresh cheese to seafood. Grab a bite at one of the quaint cafes and enjoy people-watching.

Coffee at La Maison Rose

Next, head to La Maison Rose in Montmartre for a coffee. This pink-painted cafe is a favorite among artists. It offers a quaint spot to rest and admire the surrounding artistic neighborhood.

The Wall of Love

Just a short walk from La Maison Rose, find the Wall of Love, where "I love you" is scrawled in over 250 languages—a must-visit for couples and a testament to the universal language of love.

Evening

La Boite aux Lettres
Dinner at La Boite aux Lettres

Conclude your day with dinner at La Boite aux Lettres, a cozy bistro with a warm atmosphere and delicious French cuisine that's a favorite with locals. This was my favorite meal during our time in Paris!

Day Three

Morning

Sunrise at Trocadero

To start the day, make your way to Trocadero Gardens for a breathtaking sunrise view of the Eiffel Tower. The gardens offer a perfect photo op with less crowd interference early in the morning.

Champ de Mars Garden

After soaking in the views at Trocadero, head down to Champ de Mars, a lush green space ideal for a leisurely walk beneath the Eiffel Tower.

Sainte-Chapelle

Next, visit Sainte-Chapelle to marvel at its stunning stained-glass windows, which tell the biblical story from Genesis through the Resurrection. I recommend purchasing your tickets in advance, otherwise getting in isn't guaranteed.

Cathedrale of Notre Dame

Continue to Notre Dame Cathedral and appreciate this iconic structure's gothic architecture and resilience post-restoration.

Montparnasse Tower

Head to Montparnasse Tower for panoramic views of the city. The elevator ride to the observation deck is a quick way to see Paris from above.

Catacombs Tour

Conclude your morning with a tour of the Catacombs. You can book this tour up to a week in advance, and be sure to get online right when tickets open for the following week. Otherwise, you might miss your chance (like we did!).

Afternoon

Lunch at Creperie Little Breizh

For lunch, try Creperie Little Breizh for some of the best crepes in town, or visit L'Avant Comptoir du Marche, another excellent choice for a light, flavorful meal.

59 Rivoli

After lunch, explore 59 Rivoli, a former squat-turned-gallery where artists work and exhibit their creations. This unique space offers a glimpse into Paris's vibrant contemporary art scene.

Evening

Drinks at Le Mary Celeste

Enjoy a cocktail at Le Mary Celeste, known for its creative drinks and lively atmosphere.

Dinner at Kubri

Make a dinner reservation at Kubri, a restaurant known for blending traditional French techniques with global flavors.

Where to Stay

Le Haut Marais, rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth

Stay in a quiet Airbnb studio in Le Haut Marais, located less than two minutes from Temple and Republique metro stations. This location is ideal for those who wish to explore Paris on foot, offering convenience and an authentic local experience. The studio is small but perfect for singles or couples. It features a well-equipped kitchen, a cozy bedroom, and a bathroom.
